Investor Relations (IR) is a strategic marketing activity that combines the disciplines of communications and finance to tell a company's story to the investment community. With more than 4,300 members and 35 chapters worldwide, NIRI is the standard bearer for the IR profession, offering seminars and publications to advance the practice of investor relations, and meet the professional development needs of those engaged in IR.
4. When and where do you meet?
We hold roughly 10 meetings a year from September through June, featuring programs on topics of professional interest to investor relations practitioners. We always hold our meetings in the evening, with meetings starting at 6PM and generally ending by 8PM. Generally, we meet at one of the corporate headquarters of our members located in southern Connecticut and Westchester.
Guests are always to welcome at our meetings, and we encourage people from other corporate disciplines, such as finance and law, to attend.
